What’s Offered

Important Guidelines Before You Go

• Bring ID with proof of city address to verify eligibility cityofmandan.com 

• Appliances must be cleaned—all food residue or debris should be removed before dropping them off cityofmandan.com

• Tire fees apply:

◦ $4 per car tire, or $15 per truck tire.

◦ Larger tractor, semi-trailer, or heavy-equipment tires incur regular rates 

• Prohibited Items:

◦ No building or construction materials (e.g., sheetrock, shingles, siding).

◦ No hazardous waste (pesticides, insecticides, harsh cleaners).

◦ Paints only accepted in solid form—make them solid by mixing with sand, kitty litter, wood chips, or sawdust and fully drying in advance 

Location & Logistics

• The landfill is about 3 miles west of Mandan on Business Loop I‑94, then ½ mile south on County Road 82, followed by 1 mile west 

• Be sure to tie down or tarp your load. Unsecured loads can be refused, and are subject to a $25 fine under state law
